US-Israeli genocide in Gaza

Israel's genocidal war in the Gaza Strip is now in its 160th day, with the regime pounding the blockaded territory with more airstrikes and artillery fire. Israel's latest strike hit an UNRWA aid distribution center in the southern city of Rafah, leaving five Palestinians dead. Israeli forces also opened fire on a group of Palestinians waiting for aid in northern Gaza, killing at least six people and injuring over 80 others. A regime air raid targeting a house in Jabalia refugee camp killed at least one civilian, leaving several others injured. In Rafah, two civilians were killed and some others injured after Israeli forces bombed their vehicle. Gaza health ministry says nearly 31,300 Palestinians, mostly women and children, have so far been killed in the Israeli genocide since early last October. Over 73,000 others have been injured.

US Gaza aid port

The US decision to build a temporary port off Gaza’s Mediterranean coast is a misleading measure aimed at buying time for the Israeli regime. This, according to deputy secretary general of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad Mohammed Al-Hindi. He said construction of the port could lead to displacement of even more Palestinians from the blockaded territory. Hindi added that those who want to send aid to Gaza should open the territory’s crossings instead of proposing to establish a port. He stressed that the US administration has been a partner in the Israeli genocide in Gaza from day one by providing the regime with weapons without Congress’ permission. Hindi stressed that apparent disagreements between the US and Israel are not genuine and are only related to their tactics. He said Israel seeks to separate the north of Gaza from its south with American cover and reduce its area by creating a buffer zone.

Israel losses in Gaza

A UN investigation has found that a Reuters reporter who died in southern Lebanon last October was killed by Israeli tank fire at a group of clearly-identifiable journalists. The probe says the UN personnel did not record any exchange of fire across Lebanon’s southern border for more than 40 minutes before the Israeli Merkava tank opened fire. The shelling wounded six other journalists. One of them later had to have a leg amputated. Some investigative reports had reached similar conclusions prior to UN probe. Rights groups called the incident a deliberate attack on media workers, saying it amounted to a war crime on the part of Israeli forces. According to Palestinian media, the regime has killed more than 130 journalists and media workers since its genocidal war on Gaza started last October.
