Britain's ceasefire U-Turn

Gaza has become a "death zone," according to the chief of the World Health Organisation, who also warned of a worsening health and humanitarian catastrophe in the coastal enclave.

As a sign of the sliding inhumanity, residents in the north of the Gaza Strip have only had animal feed to eat for the past three weeks. In the south, the intensification of the bombardment has become almost the norm with shelters and medical charities fair game for the Israelis.

Doctors Without Borders is said to be outraged after an Israeli attack on one of its shelters in a so-called "safe haven" resulted in the death of two family members of its staff.

Meanwhile, British politicians still could not unanimously vote for an immediate permanent ceasefire in Gaza. Instead, though the motion was nodded through, the entire process descended into chaos.

The Speaker of the House is now under pressure to resign because of the farcical manner in which the ceasefire motion was conducted. It seems British democracy falls apart in the face of even the most obvious examination.

And day four of the hearings at the International Court of Justice in the Hague, on the legality of Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands Iran's representative listed a series of measures that constitute Israel's ongoing violation.

Tel Aviv rejects the legitimacy of the hearing in its entirety once again, sticking two fingers up to global bodies.
