Israel in dock
The Israeli regime has been hauled before the worlds highest court. It was a historic day at the International Court of Justice at the Hague. In a case brought by South Africa in December 2023, it accuses apartheid Israel of violating the 1948 UN genocide Convention by instigating mass killings, expulsions and statements describing Palestinians as subhuman.
The court will have to decide if the Israeli regime is deliberately wiping out Palestinians in Gaza as an ethnic group in their entirety or at least partially. Whilst the world watches this historic legal action play out, it has not stopped Israeli Occupation Forces from pounding the southern part of the Gaza Strip, with airstrikes claiming more martyrs recorded in the last 24 hours.
Senior Israeli officials have called the court action a blood libel, and anti-Semitic with a pro- Palestinian voice now dismissing these spurious accusations as no longer holding any weight.
