Israel Gaza onslaught

The United Nations has expressed grave concern about Israel’s continued bombardment of Central Gaza. In a statement, the UN Human Rights Office warned against the heightened attacks, amid what it described as a deepening and already catastrophic humanitarian situation. The statement further noted the latest attacks have obstructed relief aid from reaching those in desperate need. They also have left the remaining shelters and minimally operational hospitals in critical overcrowding and resource shortages. The Israeli forces carried out over 50 strikes across Middle Gaza in the past few days, killing at least 100 Palestinians. That's despite Israel's previous directive for residents to relocate to Middle Gaza and Tal al-Sultan in Rafah.

Israeli terrorism

Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps is revered in West Asia for its key role in helping the Iraqi and Syrian armies eliminate the Daesh terror group. And now, Israel has once again demonstrated its hostility toward the IRGC and the campaign against terrorism by assassinating a senior Iranian military advisor in Syria. Brigadier General Seyyed Razi Mousavi was assassinated in a missile strike on a neighborhood near the Sayida Zainab shrine in Damascus. He was in charge of the resistance front’s logistics in Syria. Mousavi was also a comrade of IRGC’s late commander, Lieutenant General Qassem Soleimani, who was assassinated in a US drone attack near Baghdad International airport in 2020. The IRGC strongly condemned Mousavi’s assassination, saying the occupying Israeli regime will pay for this crime. Iran’s president also issued a stern warning to Israel.

US Iraq deadly strike

The Iraqi government has condemned US strikes on the country’s anti-terror Popular Mobilization Units, south of the capital Baghdad. The government said, in a statement, that such attacks harm relations between the two countries. It said, the US strikes killed one Iraqi serviceman and wounded 18 other people, including civilians. Earlier, US Central Command confirmed that the strikes hit three facilities belonged to PMU-affiliated groups in Babylon province. It claimed, the move was in response to attacks on American personnel. On Monday, a drone strike from the Iraqi resistance struck a US base in Erbil, leaving three Americans injured. The resistance groups have recently carried out a number of attacks on US facilities in Iraq and neighboring Syria. Anti-US sentiment has grown further since the Israeli regime, backed by Washington, launched its genocidal war on Gaza.
