Israel carnage raging
The Israeli regime keeps pounding the Gaza Strip from air, land and sea, killing more defenseless women and children. Footage shows distressing scenes of numerous Palestinians killed at point-blank range in a school near the Jabalia refugee camp. Israeli forces have also laid a heavy siege on Al-Awda and Kamal Adwan hospitals in northern Gaza, leaving the entire north without any medical service. According to the Palestinian health ministry, the troopers have abducted all men at Kamal Adwan Hospital, including staff, patients and those taking shelter. Meantime, the UN agency for Palestinian refugees says Israeli forces have shot displaced Palestinians taking shelter in two of its facilities, forcing them to evacuate the buildings. The UNRWA has warned that people in the coastal territory are running out of time and options during "the darkest chapter" in the history of the nation. The Israeli regime has massacred over 18,600 Palestinians since October 7th. More than 200 of them were killed in the past day.
Lingering repercussions
The Iranian foreign minister says the aftermath of the Israeli onslaught in the Gaza Strip will remain in the region for many years to come. Hossein Amir Abdollahian made the remarks in an interview with Press TV. The top Iranian diplomat also slammed the US complicity in the Israeli Genocidal war in Gaza. Addressing the United Nations’ Global Refugee Forum in Geneva, he said more than 20,000 innocent people in Gaza have been driven from their lands in the past two months. The foreign minister slammed the US's continuous support for Israel, and blocking the UN from taking any effective step toward a ceasefire in the besieged territory. Amirabdollahian argued that the only way to avert this crisis is to stop the genocidal invasion of Gaza and prevent the forced displacement of Palestinians.
Call for sanctions
The EU chief was addressing lawmakers in the parliament in Strasbourg. The remarks are made amid escalating settler violence in the West Bank. More than 700,000 Israeli settlers currently live in occupied Palestinian territories. The settlements are illegal under international law and the UN Security Council has criticized them in several resolutions but no sanctions have ever been imposed on Israel.
