Israeli genocide in Gaza
Israel is pressing ahead with its genocidal war on the Gaza Strip as more people in the besieged Palestinian territory fall victim to the regime’s onslaught. Nearly three dozen people have lost their lives in eastern Gaza City after Israeli warplanes targeted their homes. The regime also carried out a deadly attack on a school in the city of Beit Lahia, which houses 3,000 displaced people. Other regions across the besieged territory including the city of Rafah were not immune from Israel’s indiscriminate strikes. The residents of the city have paid their final respects to the victims of the regime’s deadly raids.
Fighting rages in Gaza
As Israel’s bloody onslaught against the Gaza Strip goes on, heavy fighting rages on the ground between Palestinian resistance fighters and the regime’s forces. The military wing of the Hamas resistance movement says its fighters have completely or partially destroy 135 Israeli military vehicles across Gaza during the last 72 hours. The al-Qassam Brigades added that 79 military vehicles were destroyed in the vicinity of Gaza City alone. The southern city of Khan Yunis has been a focal point for intense clashes. Hamas says its fighters hit two dozen armored vehicles, including two Merkava tanks, in Khan Yunis and the northern city of Beit Lahia. Al-Qassam snipers also killed and wounded six Israeli soldiers, and blew up a house in which the regime’s special forces had gathered. The Israeli military has confirmed the death of two more soldiers, including the son of a war cabinet member. The total number of the regime’s soldiers killed since its ground operation on Gaza started in late October now exceeds 90.
'End impunity for criminals'
Iran’s deputy ambassador to the United Nations has strongly condemned Israel's war crimes in the Gaza Strip. Zahra Ershadi also took a jab at the International Criminal Court for failing to make any progress on the pursuit of the regime's atrocities against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Ershadi was speaking before the 22nd Session of the Assembly of States Parties to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court. She urged the ICC to help end the impunity of Israelis who have committed crimes against Palestinians in Gaza.
