Battle for a ceasefire

Hospitals, bakeries, United Nations facilities, all seemingly legitimate targets of Israeli bombardment. As the world looks on, Gazans have seen entire families wiped out – grandmothers buried under the rubble with their offspring for eternal company.

Despite the death toll creeping ever upwards, Israeli leaders have pledged their will be no ceasefire. There will be no respite in the move to cleanse the land of its people. Despite British Home Secretary Suella Braverman attempting to shield Tel Aviv from the rising anger of the British public, there is now disbelief that the political classes are doing so little to prevent more immediate casualties and to prevent the slow murder of those unable to access necessities. With Labour leader Sir Kier Starmer the focal point of the public’s political ire, can the new UN moves push forward a new solution? Just how many Palestinian lives will be lost as the world dithers?
