Cluster bombs for Ukraine
Cluster bombs have been banned by over 100 countries in the world due to their deadly effects. They pose a high risk to civilian populations, because when a cluster bomb explodes, smaller bomblets are released and can hit anyone. Many of these smaller bomblets remain unexploded for years before detonating. Some of these cluster bombs, resemble toys, which have made them especially deadly for children. Now, why would the US not listen to the will of over a hundred countries and decide to send this illegal weapon to Ukraine? This is the focus of this edition of our Spotlight program.
