Iran diplomacy

Iran says the talks for the removal of sanctions will bear fruit only if the US shows serious will and is ready to correct its behavior toward Tehran. Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kan’ani said Iran cannot trust Washington, due to its many hostile acts toward the country. Kan’ani said Iran’s top nuclear negotiator has clearly outlined Tehran’s stance during the discussions with European parties to the 2015 nuclear deal in recent weeks. The spokesman added that Tehran seriously seeks a deal, but this also requires the same level of commitment by other parties. Kan’ani further said Tehran remains committed to result-oriented negotiations. He also ruled out media speculations that Iran and the US are finalizing an interim agreement on the nuclear deal known as the JCPOA.

Effective resistance

The Hamas resistance movement has roundly dismissed allegations of the Israeli prime minister that the regime is constantly changing the equation against the resistance. Hamas Spokesman Abdul-Latif Qanoa said the comments by Benjamin Netanyahu are another lie, based on imaginary achievements. Qanoa added that Palestinians’ resistance has entered a new phase. He said resistance fighters are now capable of dealing strong and painful blows to what he called the enemy. The spokesman also said Palestinians are expanding their operations. Netanyahu has said Israeli wars with Hamas and Islamic Jihad in Gaza Strip since 2021 tipped the balance against the resistance movements and have deterred them. This comes as at least 15 anti-Israeli operations have been carried out by Palestinian resistance groups in occupied territories since last week.

Anti-US protest

Thousands of anti-war activists have gathered near a NATO base in southwestern Germany, to protest against the US military presence there. The protesters called for peace during their sit-in outside Ramstein Air Base. They lashed out at the policies of the Western powers on the Ukraine war, as Washington and its allies keep pumping weapons into the country. The protesters said the military support has fueled the conflict.
