A Hezbollah official has said the resistance has become a deterrent power that prevents the Israeli regime from committing any foolishness, and prompts it to think a thousand times before carrying out any aggression.

Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the resistance bloc member, Hassan Ezzedine, said on Sunday that International Quds Day hammered the first nail in the coffin of the Israeli regime, asserting that this “cancerous tumor” must be eradicated.

In a ceremony to mark the Quds Day in the Lebanese city of Nabatiyeh, south of Lebanon, Ezzedine said “International Quds Day has become a major day for the greater resistance front, a major day for the greater resistance front; an axis that extends from Iran to Palestine and includes the peoples, political factions and different resistance groups.”

He pointed out that Quds Day now constitutes a strong central point for all national armies in the region, who have great awareness of the dangers imposed by the Israeli regime.

“The support of these nations to Palestine is unquestioned,” he said.

He noted that the resistance and its axis are now working diligently and responsibly to prevent the [Israeli] enemy from taking control over any area.

“The Resistance Axis is keen on coordinating and integrating among the different arenas and groups, which will make the enemy think a thousand times before being persistent in its aggression,” Ezzedine said, adding that the Israeli regime will for sure regret any action made on the basis of wrong assessment and will pay a heavy price for its actions.

Touching on the internal turbulences affecting the Israeli regime since the protests against the new far-right administration started, Ezzedine said that today, the Israeli regime suffers weakness and erosion due to the deterrence power.

“Israel is weak in the face of resistance fighters. It also witnesses an internal turmoil in light of the division among its different factions and the weakening spirit of the Israeli army, which suffers a state of anxiety that holds it back from achieving any victory.”

The Hezbollah official also said that the events taking place in Palestine today in terms of the threats to al-Aqsa mosque and al-Quds, as well as the resistance fighters and the worshipers, can turn it into an opportunity that enables Palestinians to handcuff the enemy and prevent it from trying to change the rules of engagement and the equations of al-Quds Sword operation which was drawn by the resistance.

He reassured the people of Palestine that the resistance stands by them, noting, “We are with you and support your options that deter the enemy and prevent it from persisting in its criminality.”

Earlier last week, Sheikh Nabil Qaouk, deputy head of the executive council of Hezbollah, reiterated his group’s unwavering support for Palestine, saying the Lebanese resistance movement will remain at the forefront of the campaign defending the oppressed nation.

The Israeli forces have wounded and rounded up hundreds of Palestinians during the attacks that have seen a rise since the beginning of Ramadan. Illegal Israeli settlers have been freely violating the compound under the protection of the Israeli military and police.

Since the start of the holy month of Ramadan, the Israeli regime has imposed strict restrictions on the entry and exit of Palestinians to and from the gates of al-Aqsa Mosque. Amid heightened tensions with Palestinian worshipers, Israeli settlers also went with their frequent incursions and provocative rituals at the holy site.
