Slamming economic terrorism

Iranian vice president Ali Salajegheh has addressed the UN climate summit in Egypt’s resort city of Sharm el-sheikh. He spoke about sanctions against Iran, calling them economic terrorism. Russia top targeting in Ukraine

The Russian army says it has captured a strategic village in eastern Ukraine that can serve as a springboard for further advances on the Donetsk region. The spokesman added, Russian forces are pushing ahead with their offensive in the Donetsk region. In his daily briefing, Konashenkov also informed about the killing of a large number of Ukrainian soldiers and destruction of military hardware, including those supplied by the US to Kiev. Pavlivka, a village some 60 kilometers southeast of Donetsk, had already changed hands earlier in the conflict. Meantime, the secretary of Russia's Security Council says Western-supplied arms and foreign mercenaries are priority targets for Russia's forces fighting in Ukraine.

Spain rising food prices

Spaniards are struggling with the cost of living crisis as official data shows food prices in the country posted a record rise in October. The data released by the National Statistics Institute show overall food prices climbed fifteen percent from a year earlier, the biggest in decades. Globally, food prices have also skyrocketed since the war in Ukraine which is one of the world's top grain suppliers. An extreme drought and consecutive heatwaves in Spain this year have also slashed agricultural output. The surging cost of food especially hits low-income families who spend a bigger chunk of their household budgets on groceries.
