UK government turmoil

The British opposition leader lashes out at the ruling Tory party over the country’s current economic crisis. Starmer says the prime minister is unable to fix the chaos she caused after unveiling her economic growth package last month. Starmer also accused the Tories of putting the party before the British people. His comments came a day after Truss fired Kwasi Kwarteng as her Chancellor of the Exchequer replacing him with former foreign secretary Jeremy Hunt. She also once again scrapped parts of her tax-slashing mini-budget that sent markets into turmoil and caused uproar even in the ruling conservative party. Hunt has signaled a U-turn on Truss’s unpopular economic plan.

 ‘Resist Israel’s aggression’

The Palestinian resistance movement Hamas has called for all-out resistance against Israel's relentless acts of aggression. This, after the regime killed three Palestinians in the occupied West Bank. Hamas urged any Palestinian who possesses a rifle to point it at Israeli military forces. The movement says Israel’s recurrent desecration of the holy al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Old City of al-Quds will not go unpunished. Israeli troops killed a Palestinian man late on Friday over a shooting attack at a settlement, which left an Israeli settler wounded. Earlier in the day, Israeli troops had attacked the Jenin refugee camp, killing two Palestinians. One of them was a doctor who was shot while attending to the injured.
