Afghan Muslims marked Islamic Unity Week and the birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad, holding ceremonies in various cities.

Here at al-Zahra mosque in Kabul, Muslims gathered to celebrate Islamic brotherhood and the legacy of Prophet Mohammad.

Religious scholars and participants said they are facing conspiracies and brutalities co-conspired by arrogant powers and terrorist groups. They emphasized that Muslims can foil such plots through unity.

Likewise, the al-Mustafa University in Kabul hosted a conference to discuss the character and morality of the Prophet of Islam. The event addressed the important role of Prophet Mohammad as a messenger of peace and kindness. Attendees here said Prophet Mohammad is their best role model ever.

The Islamic Unity Week comes as Afghanistan this year faced waves of terror attacks, especially against Shia mosques and schools. Afghans say such attacks will only strengthen bonds of brotherhood between Muslims in the country.

Afghan nation has successfully symbolized Islamic solidarity in their society. They say no to discords in the face of enemies' plots.
