Scholar: American people and world were played on 9/11

An American political commentator, writer and researcher believes the American people and the world were played on September 11, 2001, when several jets crashed on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, leaving nearly 3,000 people dead. 

James Fetzer, a leading 9/11 researcher and academic, made the remarks in an interview with Press TV on Tuesday, days after Americans commemorated the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the United States that left nearly 3,000 people dead.  

American leaders have called the 9/11 attacks had been one of the darkest days in the history of the country.

US officials assert that the attacks were carried out by 19 al-Qaeda terrorists, 15 of them Saudi nationals, but many experts and independent researchers have raised questions about the official account.

They believe that rogue elements within the US government, such as former Vice President Dick Cheney, orchestrated or at least encouraged the 9/11 attacks in order to accelerate the US war machine and advance the Zionist agenda.

“The American people and the world were played on 9/11 by an attack orchestrated by the CIA, neocons in the Department of Defense (most of whom were dual US/Israeli citizens) and the Mossad,” Professor Fetzer said.

“The plan was designed to create a fabricated pretext to draw the US military into the Middle East and take out the modern Arab nations that served as a counter-balance to Israel's domination of the entire region. The key players in this deception appear to have been Bibi Netanyahu, Ehud Olmert, Dick Cheney, and Donald Rumsfeld, with the complicity of the New York Port Authority and Silverstein Properties, which took possession of the WTC just six weeks before the event, where Silverstine--a personal friend of Bibi, with whom he regularly spoke by phone every Sunday--fired the security firm that had looked after the WTC since it opened in 1970 and replaced it with an Israeli firm and revised insurance coverage to include an anti-terrorism clause, claiming that two planes meant two attacks and therefore double indemnity, which netted him some $2.4 billion on a $114,000,000 investment,” he noted.

Fetzer said the 9/11 attack was “an inside job.”

“The US Air Force stood down and units that would have normally responded to any threat were sent on wild-goose chases. Two of the planes (Flight 11, North Tower, and Flight 77, Pentagon), were not even in the air that day; and the other two (Flight 93, Shanksville, and Flight 175, South Tower), were still in the air after they had officially crashed, Pilots for 9/11 Truth established that Flight 93 was over Champaign-Urbana, IL, after it had officially crashed in Pennsylvania, and that Flight 175 was over Harrisburg and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania after it had officially hit the South Tower,” he said.

“I obtained FAA Registration Records showing that the planes that were used for those two flights were not formally deregistered (or taken out of service) until 28 September 2005. So how can planes that were not even in the air have crashed on 9/11? and how can planes that crashed on 9/11 have still been in the air four years later?”

Over the past 21 years, the number of Americans who believe that the official story of the September 11, 2001 attacks is false has steadily grown, according to Dr. Paul Craig Roberts.

The analyst revealed that “Osama bin Laden was our man in Afghanistan and was responsible for getting Stinger missiles into the hand of the mujahedeen, which they used to shoot down Soviet helicopters and planes. He was an officer in the CIA, Col. Tim Osmon, and was visited in a hospital in Dubai shortly before his death from his medical maladies.”

“It's tough to get dialysis machines in and out of those caves in Afghanistan. He died on 15 December 2001 and was buried in an unmarked grave in accordance with Muslim traditions. There were local obituaries and, by 25 December 2001, Fox and CNN had caught up with the news of his death and reported it,” he said.

“A half-dozen or more of the ‘suicide hijackers’ turned up alive and well the following day, by the way, and made contact with the British press, as David Ray Griffin made his very first point in The 9/11 Commission Report: Omissions and Distortions (2004). Barack Obama would see fit to resurrect Osama and have him die again in a staged raid on a compound in Pakistan in 2011 to position himself for triumphal reelection as ‘the man who got the most wanted man in the world'. The Israelis went a bridge too far by having a fake call during the attack to claim responsibility by The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, where the media showed archival footage of Palestinians rejoicing from an earlier event. But 9/11 was (in a nutshell) managed and manipulated by Israel with United States complicity,” he concluded.
