Iran IAEA warning

Iran has hit back at the US, UK, France and Germany after reports said they have prepared a draft resolution to push the IAEA’s Board of Governors to rebuke Iran at its upcoming meeting.  The Iranian foreign ministry spokesman earlier warned that Tehran will give a strong and proportionate response to any unconstructive action against the Islamic Republic at the IAEA meeting. Saeed Khatibzadeh also said those using a recent IAEA’s report on Tehran’s nuclear activities as a political tool will be responsible for the ensuing consequences.

Palestinian killed

Israeli forces have fatally shot another Palestinian in a raid on a village in the north of the occupied West Bank. Palestinian Health Ministry says the 24-year-old man died after arriving at a hospital in Jenin in a critical condition. He had been shot by Israeli forces’ live bullets in the chest and thigh. The ministry says six other Palestinians were injured in the raid on the village of Yabad near the city of Jenin. Hamas resistance movement reacted to Israel’s raid, saying the people of Jenin will continue to resist the occupying forces until throwing them out of Palestine. Palestinian Foreign Ministry also condemned the killing urging the International Criminal Court to probe the regime’s crimes. Earlier on Wednesday, Israeli soldiers shot dead a 31-year-old Palestinian woman near the West Bank city of al-Khalil.

US drones in Ukraine

Staying on that subject Reuters is now quoting unnamed sources as saying that the US plans to sell Ukraine four MQ1C Gray Eagle armed drones. The report says the delivery has not been finalized yet and needs congressional approval in the coming days. The new drones can fly up to thirty or more hours, and can carry up to eight Hellfire missiles. They can also gather huge amounts of data for intelligence purposes. Ukraine has been using several types of smaller, shorter range drones against Russian forces. The sale would also be significant as the new drones are capable of carrying out multiple deep strikes against Russian forces for the first time.
