Amazon Labor Union

The working conditions at American giant retail company Amazon have been subject to myriad complaints by the employees.

The complaints initially gained national and international attention because of the too few bathroom breaks inhumanely imposed on the Amazon staff and drivers in an attempt to maximize productivity and speedy delivery of goods to customers.

It was indeed a blatant attempt to boost profits for the owners of the company, most notably its owner and executive chairman Jeff Bezos, one of the richest men in the world, whose net worth is more than 180 billion US dollars.

In this episode we will investigate the working conditions for the average worker at Amazon, which is reported to be often tough and occasionally unsafe. While the Amazon’s shareholders and customers are mostly happy with the retail giant, the workers such as those in warehouses often have a very different experience.
