Pakistan new PM, after Khan's US regime change claims

The Pakistani parliament has elected Shehbaz Sharif as the country’s new prime minister.

The move came after his predecessor Imran Khan was removed and most of his party’s legislators resigned from the National Assembly.

Khan accused a senior US government official of being behind a controversial letter that threatened to overthrow Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) government.
