• A Belgian-British teenager is on a solo flight around the globe, which could make him a world record holder. Mack Rutherford started his journey from a small airfield near the Bulgarian capital Sofia on Wednesday. His first destination was the island of Sicily in Italy. From there, he will fly south to Africa and then around the globe, to cross the finishing line, again in Bulgaria.

• Asia's largest tulip garden has opened its door to visitors in the India-controlled Kashmir, two years after continued closure in the wake of the outbreak of coronavirus.
