Libya, One Country Two PMs

The political crisis in Libya took a turn for the worse recently with the Tobruk-based House of Representatives in the country's east choosing former Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha as prime minister, while current Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibeh has vowed to continue in the post until an election is held.

This week we are focusing on the unfolding political crisis in Libya, a country that now has two rival prime ministers. This latest development counters UN efforts to reconcile the divided country. We are asking, will this North African state slide back into a civil war?

In second part of our program, we shall move to neighboring Sudan where the military regime has continued its brutal crackdown on peaceful protestors calling for a return to civilian rule. Will the military give in to the demands by the masses?
