NBA: Dallas Mavericks 104-107 Los Angeles Lakers

Over the NBA news, the Los Angeles Lakers have narrowly won the Mavericks 107 to 104 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.

The Lakers opened up a 10-point lead in the opener, but the hosts came from behind and took the 2nd quarter 27-14 which led to their 50-47 lead at the intermission. However, the visitors then did not give up and managed to level the score at 73-apiece at the end of 3rd quarter.

It was a close contest in the final, but both teams shared the spoils after a 20-all draw. The game went to overtime where the Lakers managed to take it 14-11 that led to their 3rd consecutive win. LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook combined more than half of the points for the Lakers as they leapfrogged the Mavericks to 6th in the Western Conference standings.

Meanwhile on Wednesday night, the Milwaukee Bucks overcame the visiting Indiana pacers 114-99 to seal their place at the Eastern Conference standings.

The Bucks went to their locker room with a 58-53 advantage. But the Pacers managed to tie the game at 87-all after taking the 3rd quarter. The defending champions regrouped in the final and beat the Pacers 27-12 that led to their 15 points overall victory.

The Bucks will travel to New Orleans on Friday to play against the Pelicans, while the Pacers will welcome the Detroit Pistons on Thursday.
