In the AFC champions League, where Mehdi Torabi has scored a last gasp winner, Persepolis of Iran outlasted Istiklol of Tajikistan 1-0 in the round of 16.
With the match seemingly destined to go to extra-time, Torabi’s 90th minute cross-cum-shot from the left side of the area, rolled over the keepers’ hands and into the net, to send Persepolis through to the Quarter-finals, while ending Istiklol’s adventure in Asia's top-flight tournament.
