Yemen's armed forces backed by local tribes have successfully conducted the third phase of Operation al-Nasr al-Mubeen.

The spokesman of the Yemeni army, Yahya Saree, said Mahliyah and al-Rahba directorates of Ma’rib with an area of 1,200 square kilometers were fully liberated. The spokesman also said over 150 mercenaries loyal to the Saudi-led coalition were killed or injured during the operation.

Saree also hailed the tribes of Ma’rib for their role in supporting the Yemeni army in achieving the recent victory.

Observers said the Yemeni army is now implementing the fourth phase of the al-Nasr al-Mubeen operation aimed at fully liberating all the occupied territories of Yemen.

For months now, The Yemeni army has been intensifying its military operations to liberate the oil-rich province of Ma'rib from the Saudi-backed forces and terrorist groups.

This move was considered as the first step forward to expel foreign forces from the rest of the country.

Yemeni tribes have repeatedly announced their opposition to the presence of any foreign forces especially those of Saudi Arabia. People believe that the military will not be able to liberate the country without the backing of tribesmen.
