US Open: Djokovic tops Brooksby, reaches quarters

World no. Novak Djokovic has come from a set down to seal a spot in the quarterfinals of the US Open, after dismissing American qualifier Jenson Brooksby 3 sets to 1. 

The American unexpectedly performed well against the Serbinator in the opening set, taking it 6-1.

But, Joko found himself in the second by winning it 6-3, before finishing the third          set 6-2.

The Serbian Ace continued his flawless performance in the fourth set to take it in the same fashion and finish the match after nearly three hours.

The Serb is bidding to reach his 21st Grand Slam title in New York and will have a rematch of the Wimbledon final with Matteo Berrettini of Italy, who earlier defeated German qualifier Oscar Otte in 4 sets.

That's while, Alexander Zverev stormed into the quarter-finals of the US open, following a 6-4, 6-4 and 7-6 win over Yannik Sinner of Italy.

The 4th-seeded German will be looking to extend his winning run to 16 matches when he meets Lloyd Harris of South Africa.

A win could see him go head to head against Novak Djokovic in the semi-finals at Flushing Meadows.
