The story of Afghanistan has been front page news for some time now. And rightly so. In one respect, it shows how waging a war, occupation and a retreat can destroy a country. And that is what the US and its NATO partners have done. The exorbitant US spending in the Afghan war: a 2.26 trillion dollars, corruption, unfinished projects, and an expense that will continue for some time even after the US pullout. Was it worth it?
