April 24: Iran reaffirms unity and military readiness while pursuing regional diplomacy

Iran’s leadership underscores national unity and military readiness, with the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, praising the cohesion of the Iranian nation as a decisive factor in weakening adversarial pressure.

Senior military commanders from the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps' (IRGC) Aerospace and Navy forces warned that Iran’s deterrent posture remains fully active, while Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf condemned renewed threats against the country’s leadership and vowed steadfast defence “trench by trench” in the face of escalation.

Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi set out on a regional diplomatic tour covering Pakistan, Oman, and Russia aimed at sustaining efforts to end the US-Israeli war of aggression through political channels.

Upon arriving in Islamabad, foreign ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei confirmed that no talks with the US side are planned in the Pakistani capital.

Key developments on day 56 of the war, the seventeenth day of the ceasefire:

• Leader of the Islamic Revolution lauded the impact of the Iranian nation’s extraordinary unity, saying it has inflicted a significant fracture on the enemy.
• Speaker Qalibaf fiercely denounced threats from Israel's war minister to assassinate the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, vowing that Iranian forces will fight "trench by trench" to defend their country and leadership.
• The commanders of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Aerospace and Navy forces said that their fingers remain on the trigger with a designated bank of targets, warning the United States of a devastating "eye for a head" reprisal if it resumes its military aggression.
• Brigadier General Esmail Qaani, Commander of the Quds Force of the IRGC, said the unyielding unity displayed by the Iranian nation in the streets and the complete cohesion among state officials represent the decisive support for the Resistance Front and its borderless holy fighters in their sacred war against the American-Zionist enemy.
• IRGC’s political deputy Brigadier General Yadollah Javani said US President Donald Trump has suffered a strategic failure, emphasising that Washington's military apparatus can never defeat the resilient Iranian nation.
• FM Araghchi embarked on a three-leg regional tour to Pakistan, Oman and Russia in the continuation of diplomatic efforts to put a lasting end to the US-Israeli aggression against the Islamic Republic.
• He will not hold any talks with US officials during his visit to Pakistan, despite CNN claiming otherwise, confirmed ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei.
• Iran’s mission to the United Nations condemned the US seizure of an Iranian vessel carrying vital dialysis equipment, warning the “illegal” act puts vulnerable patients at grave risk.
• Iran is set to resume international passenger flights from Tehran’s Imam Khomeini International Airport (IKIA) on Saturday, ending a pause of more than 50 days triggered by the US-Israeli war of aggression.
