Tokyo Olympics: Djuraev wins gold in men's 109 KG event
To weightlifting, Uzbekistan's Akbar Djuraev has set a new Olympic record to win gold in the men's 109 kg category.
Djuraev lifted 193 kgs for the snatch, and smashed the Olympic mark for the clean and jerk by lifting 237 kilograms. He Also broke the Olympic record for a total of 430 kgs.
Simon Martirosyan of Armenia, who also set a new Olympic record in Snatch by lifting 195 kgs, took the silver with a total of 423kgs, while Latvia's Arturs Plesnieks took the bronze with a total of 410 kilograms.
