Copa America: Argentina 4-1 Bolivia

Argentina have finished the Copa America group stage matches with a victory after hammering Bolivia 4-1.

Argentina, who had sealed a spot in the quarterfinals, only needed six minutes to take a 1-nil lead when Alejandro Gomez scored with a brilliant volley from Messi’s pass.

Argentinean talisman Lionel Messi doubled the lead from the spot in a memorable night for him to become Argentina's all-time record appearances holder with his 148th international cap on Monday.

Then, Messi put the match beyond doubt with his precise chip over the keeper from outside the box before the break.

Bolivia pulled one back on the hour mark when Erwin Saavedra netted the ball with a first time shot from close range.

Only five minutes later, Argentina completed their merciless performance when Lautaro Martinez scored the fourth from a rebound as Argentina finished the group stage with 10 points from four matches, while Bolivia were eliminated from the event.

Meanwhile, Uruguay finished their job in the group stage with a victory after edging past Paraguay 1-nil.

Uruguayan veteran striker Edinson Cavani scored the winner from the spot in the 21st minute, as his team are second with seven points, just a single point above Paraguay who finished third.
