Hailing Ayatollah Khamenei's backing

Palestinian resistance groups hail the Leader of Iran’s Islamic Revolution for his unwavering support for the Palestinian resistance against the Israeli occupation. In separate letters, the resistance movements praised Iran as the axis of unity among Muslim nations. The five groups include the Popular front for the Liberation of Palestine, Fatah al-Intifada movement, the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front and the Alliance of Palestinian Forces. On Friday, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said the Israeli regime is declining, and is on the verge of collapse. Ayatollah Khamenei also called on Palestinians to continue fighting the Israeli regime through resistance. The leader made the remarks on the last Friday of the holy month of Ramadan, which is marked as International Quds day.

US role in Israeli killings

Iran’s foreign minister slams the United States for arming Israel while the regime continues its war campaign of killing Palestinian children and women. Mohammad Javad Zarif rapped Washington for a new delivery of precision missiles to Israel, stressing that the US-made munitions have rained down on innocent Palestinians since last week. Zarif also condemned the US for obstructing the mildest possible UN Security Council statement against Israel. The United States has blocked, for the third time in a week, the adoption of a joint UN Security Council statement calling for a halt to Israeli-Palestinian violence and the protection of civilians. The Security Council will hold a new emergency closed-door meeting on Israeli war against Gaza on Tuesday.

Gaza under fire

A senior medic in the Gaza Strip says the health system in the besieged Palestinian territory is struggling amid the deadly Israeli aggression and the coronavirus crisis. The remarks come as Shifa hospital, the biggest health facility in Gaza doubled the number of intensive care beds to cope with the rising number of wounded Palestinians. However, the coastal enclave is facing acute shortage of medicines and equipment which medics blame on years of Israeli blockade. Local authorities have also warned that Gaza's only COVID-19 laboratory is no longer able to carry out testing due to an Israeli air strike. The World Health Organization has already condemned the flare-up in Gaza, saying the protection of health workers and infrastructure is imperative in all circumstances.
