Atletico Madrid have strengthened their grip at the top of the Liga, with a 5-0 thrashing of struggling Eibar.
Angel Correa scored twice just before half-time, as he headed-in the opener from close range, and then stabbed home on Yannick Carrasco's cutback.
Soon after the break, Carrasco himself was on target, to make it 3-0. A few minutes later, Correa turned provider, when he teed-up Marcos Llorente for a neat finish.
Llorente then scored his 2nd of the day in the 68th minute, to complete the 5-0 rout. It was a crucial win for Atletico, who have now widened the gap at the summit to 3 points, partly thanks to Real Madrid’s goalless draw against Getafe.
