In a nail-biting clash at the top of the German Bundesliga, Bayern Munich have edged past RB Leipzig 1-nil at the Red Bull Arena.
The defending champions broke the deadlock in the 38th minute when Leon Goretzka scored the winner with a powerful shot from inside the box from a cut back by Thomas Muller.
With the victory, the Bavarians widened the gap to 7 points at the summit and took a step closer to a 9th consecutive Bundesliga title.
Hansi Flick's side, who are without Robert Lewandowski, continue their Champions League defense in the quarterfinals against Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
