In December 2019 the Muslim American Society and the Islamic Circle of North America held 18th Annual Convention, one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America. This year convention broke a record with over 25,000 attendees.

The aim of the event, which was held in McCormick Place in Chicago was to address the most important, imminent challenges the American Muslim community is facing and will focus on how to secure a better future for generations to come.

The American Muslim community faces a myriad of daunting challenges. These challenges however bring about opportunities that can be realised through proactive actions taken by the Muslim community. The convention was also focused on rejuvenating the souls of Muslims through the love of Islam and consequently revitalise the spirit of Muslims in these inauspicious times.

The aim of the event was to reinforce the message that although Muslims in the United States might be under certain pressures, they’re still maintaining their unity and are keen to understand and learn more about their faith and socio-political responsibilities.
