Rare cactus blooms in UK first at Cambridge University

Cambridge University revealed a timelapse recording showing a rare cactus moon flower blooming in its Bonn Botanic Garden.

The moonflower Selenicereus Wittii flower, originating from the Amazon, is believed to be the first of its kind to bloom in the UK.

A livestream, watched by more than 200,000 people, was set up for botany enthusiasts for over 10 days before the flower bloomed during the day despite expectations that it would bloom during the night.
