Australian Open: Djokovic tops Raonic, reaches quarters

Eight-time champion Novak Djokovic have sealed a spot in the Australian Open quarter-finals after defeating Milos Raonic of Canada 3 sets to 1.

The world number one who is suffering a muscle injury, worked hard to take the opener at tie-break. Raonic then continued his resistance and managed to grab the next set 6-4.

But the Serbian ace found his rhythm and easily overcame the Canadian 6-1 in the 3rd. Djokovic, who is chasing a record-extending ninth title in Melbourne, beat Raonic 6-4 in the 4th set to seal the deal.

The 17-time Grand slam winner will next meet Alexander Zverev of Germany in the last 8 on Monday. Meanwhile, with the victory Djokovic joined Swiss Maestro Roger Federer in the 300 match wins at the four Grand Slam championships.
