Meanwhile, deputy chief of Russia’s reconciliation center in Syria said Russia estimated the number of terrorists in Idlib at 19,000, almost half of them supported by Turkey. He also pointed out that Syrian Kurds have been escalating tension in East of the Euphrates River.

Syria’s minister of local administration said the government’s efforts are underway at the highest level to create suitable circumstances for refugees' return.

Makhlouf explained that this month, 26 industrial facilities have restarted functioning while 1,522 job opportunities have been created, noting that the bulk of investment reached fourteen and a half billion Syrian Pounds.

Officials and military figures from Syria and Russia gave a briefing on their countries’ efforts made this year in terms of consolidating security across Syrian territories and paving the way for Syrian refugees’ return.

Holding this conference represents a message of determination from Syria and Russia that their joint action will eventually lead to a secure and prosperous Syria.
