Hezbollah’s Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah spoke on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the martyrdom of Iranian top commander Lieutenant General Qassem Suleimani and Commander of Iraq's Popular Mobilization Units Abu Mahdi al-Muhandes.

Sayyed Nasrallah considered that the martyrdom of the two leaders has become a driving force for the Iraqi people and the people of the region to demand the withdrawal of US forces from the region.

He also reiterated the call for just punishment of the killers and those who gave the order. In south Lebanon, people remembered general Soleimani on the first anniversary of his martyrdom as a hero who reaffirmed a new balance of power where the enemy is deterred and people are living a state of security and hopes that with this path and the blood of Qassem Suleimani will help liberate all occupied territory.

One year since his martyrdom, the cause for which the resistance fought is more alive than ever before. Southerners believe the Islamic Republic of Iran and specifically General Qassem Soleimani have a clear mark in as being partners in defeating Israel in several battles since the biggest Israeli invasion in 1982.

Here in South Lebanon along the border with occupied Palestine, the images and the memory of General Qassem Suleimani are more apparent than Israeli military vehicles. Hezbollah’s Secretary General has stressed that the martyrdom of Hajj Qassem will lead to a defeat of the US army and in turn to Israeli occupation forces.
