US has the makings of a real dictator

There are two statements said every four years, regardless of the circumstances. “This is the most important election in our lifetime!” and “The race is very close. He can still win.” It is simply a GOTV strategy. Get Out the Vote. As to the former ‘scare tactic’, it might very well be.

We have the makings of a real dictator as well as one who might openly stage a coup, not like the quiet one in 1932 against President Roosevelt or the judicial coup that gave us George W. Bush in 2000. Mr. Trump has shown that he has no clue how to govern and virtually no understanding of our Constitution. Perhaps as a CEO who has absolute control of his or her business, you can act as a dictator. It’s his money. You do with it as you want as long as you have a board of directors, or not, to set limits, or no limits. A representative government requires at least the appearance of checks and balances.

Trump has made repeated statements that the election is fraudulent because he likely knows he’s going to lose, but not guaranteed to.  He’s setting the scene for a takeover, but the question is, as we say, ‘and with what army’? We’re fairly certain the military will not intervene but the frightening aspect of having a private army or a groundswell of militias serving him is a real possibility. The other thing he often says is that he will not step down if he loses. He jokes now that if he does lose, he’ll possibly leave the country. Question is where? Recommend he go where there’s no extradition treaty. I would recommend Angola, not the country but the torturous jail in Angola, Louisiana.

The other statement that Biden and other Democrats are making is just a way of motivating the base and undecideds to get to the polls. Since to so many Democrats Trump is the anti-Christ, not to vote against him is a sin against humanity. We call this ‘vote shaming’ as many people will not vote for Biden, regardless of who he’s running against. He might be the ‘nice guy’ running, except to all the women he has ‘allegedly'  groped, molested and raped, but his policies are sometimes even farther right than Trump or the Republicans.

I’m sure after this election there will be some new forever ominous statements to come hereafter.
