UEFA POTY shortlist: Lewandowski, Neuer, Kevin De Bruyne

The shortlist for the UEFA's Player of the Year has been announced, as Robert Lewandowski, Manuel Neuer and Kevin De Bruyne are set to battle it out for the Individual Prize.

Lewandowski scored 55 goals in 47 games as Bayern won the Treble, including a competition-leading 15 Champions League triumphs. The Pole is accompanied by his teammate Manuel Neuer who was also a pillar in the Bavarians’ success this year.

And last but not least, Europe's leading assist provider, Manchester City’s Kevin De Bruyne, who has laid on a record equaling 20 assists and 13 goals in the Premier League.

The winner will be announced on Thursday. It was for the first time in 10 years that Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have been left out of the final top 3, as both players are approaching the end of their careers.
