An Insider's View of the Country: Vali Asr Street and The Art of Lak Tarashi

The longest avenue in Tehran known as Valiasr Street connects the southernmost part of the city to the north of it.

The Vali Asr Street is regarded as Tehran’s longest avenue built in 1929. This tree-lined street divides the metropolis into western and eastern sections. Hoda Lezgee reports on Vali Asr Street.

Amir Mehdi Kazemi visited the northern province of Mazandaran to report on the art of Laktarashi. Laktarashi works on timber and it’s believed to 7 thousand years old. It is considered as the handicraft of forest people.
