Ansarullah fighters have made gains in their fight against [the] Saudi-led coalition in al-Jowf and Ma'arib. Yemeni army spokesman General Yahia Sariea said that the retaliatory operation was in response to a Saudi operation to capture the country's capital, Sana'a.

Yemen’s army has stepped up its retaliatory attacks against Saudi Arabia, using drones and missiles to strike airports in Jizan, Najran and Khamis Mushait.

These operations come in response to Saudi unprecedented attacks on Yemeni people.

Forces loyal to the former Yemeni president in Aden say Ansarullah’s retaliatory operations have destroyed all efforts to reach a political settlement. However, observers say the blame should be put on those who started the conflict in the first place.

Yemeni army retaliatory attacks on Saudi positions resumed after three months. Back in October, Yemeni forces ... offered to halt their retaliatory operations if the kingdom puts an end to its four-year-long onslaught against Yemen.

Observers say the escalation of tensions would only worsen the humanitarian situation of Yemeni people specially children.
