Russian government resigns in wake of Putin’s reforms

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev announced his resignation after President Vladimir Putin proposed a series of constitutional reforms. Medvedev’s replacement is the former head of the Federal Tax Service Mikhail Mishustin. A national referendum on the amendments is planned to be held before May 1.
