Premier League: Wolves 3-2 Manchester City

Over to football and the English Premier League, Manchester City have thrown away a 2-goal lead to suffer a last-minute surprise defeat at WolverHampton Wanderers.

City found themselves in a difficult situation as Ederson received his marching orders 11 minutes into the game. The 10-man citizens pushed for a goal and were awarded a penalty, following a lengthy VAR review.

Raheem Sterling missed the chance to put City in front, but then again on the recommendation of VAR, the referee ordered the penalty to be re-taken for encroachment. Sterling was denied again, but this time, he managed to tap it home on the rebound.

Sterling doubled his tally 5 minutes after the break with a fantastic chip over Rui Patricio. Adama Traore slashed City's lead 5 minutes later, as he fired a pile-driver into the far corner. Raul Jimenez scored the equalizer with 8 minutes on the clock after getting on the end of Traore’s low cross.

The dramatic winner came on the 89t minutes as Matt Doherty played a 1-2 with Jimenez before curling the ball into the back of the net. With the win, the Wolves climb to 5th in the table on 30 points, while Man City remain 3rd, 14 points adrift of Liverpool, who have a game in hand.
