Russian officials suspended for 'serious' anti-doping breaches

The Athletics Integrity Unit has suspended the president of Russia’s athletics federation due to serious breaches of anti-doping rules

The AIU, which oversees integrity issues in global athletics including doping, charged Dmitry Shlyakhtin and 6 others over various offenses on Thursday.

They are related to the case of high jumper Danil Lysenko who allegedly presented fake medical records after being accused of failing to make himself available for drug testing.

The AIU said its investigation lasted 15 months and included intensive interviews and computer analysis.
