MotoGP: Marquez caps off season with Valencia win

World Champion Marc Marquez has capped off the MotoGP season with a dominant victory in the Valencia Grand Prix.

Marquez had secured his 6th premier category title last month and had little to fight for in the season finale, but that didn’t stop the Spaniard from clinching his 12th MotoGP victory of the season.

He came home over a second clear of Pole Sitter Fabio Quartararo after taking the lead from the French Rookie 8 laps in. In the overall standings, Andrea Dovizioso of Italy finished the season in 2nd place, while Maverick Vinales stood 3rd.

Marquez’s victory also secured the teams’ championship for Repsol Honda and sealed with it their triple crown as they had already claimed the riders’ and constructors’ world titles.
