At least 22 people have been killed after the western Indian City of Pune and its neighboring areas were hit by heavy rain and flash floods.

Officials say five people are still reportedly missing in the region. They added that thousands of people in the area have been forced to evacuate and move to relief camps.

The Indian weather department says Pune has received almost 120 percent more rainfall than average since the start of this year’s monsoon season.
