What are UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson's options?

It's been described as a humiliating defeat for UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson and hailed as a victory for the rule of law. The Supreme Court has ruled “unlawful” Prime Minister Boris Johnson’s move in advising Queen Elizabeth to suspend parliament.

On August On 28 August 2019, Boris Johnson asked Queen Elizabeth II to prorogue parliament. The plan was aimed at preventing lawmakers from discussing Brexit so that Johnson could push through his plan to exit the European Union without a deal. But on Tuesday, a panel of 11 justices at the London-based Supreme Court gave the unanimous ruling after spending three days hearing appeals over legal challenges in England and Scotland.
