The UK elections have punished the big old parties, Conservatives and Labour, and driven British politics towards the extremes. Thanks to the incompetence of the Conservative Government, and the lack of direction from the Labour official opposition, arch Brexiteer Nigel Farage and his 6 week old Brexit Party stormed to victory. Meanwhile, at the other end of the scale, the fiercely Remain Liberal Democrats came second. Britain has never looked so divided, and Brexit has never been more divided. Germanys willingness to welcome all refugees from everywhere has generated a strong backlash in German politics. Chancellor Angela Merkel For years they welcomed everyone. Now it turns out that Germany spent a record 23 billion euros in 2018 on helping to integrate over a million refugees and fighting the root causes of migration abroad. Trump has fought China in number of ways, and now hes getting involved in a war of words against Chinese tech giant Huawei. Google has also suspended a lot of its business with Huawei. Although its a blow to the Chinese technology company, holders of current Huawei smartphones with Google apps can keep using and downloading app updates provided by Google.
