Azerbaijan F1: Bottas takes pole position in Baku

Over to motorsports, and Valtteri Bottas has taken pole position ahead of teammate Lewis Hamilton as Mercedes secured a front row lockout ahead of Sunday's Azerbaijan F1 Grand Prix.

Bottas set a new record lap of one minute and 40.495 seconds to outpace Hamilton by 0.059 seconds. Meanwhile, Sebastian Vettel was third, 0.302 seconds slower than Bottas.

Max Verstappen of Red Bull took fouth. After the three races of this season, Hamilton stands at the top of the table with 68 points, while his teammate Bottas and Max Verstappen are second and third with 62 and 39 points respectively
