Trump's misue of the migrant caravan

Thousands of central American migrants are enduring extremely harsh conditions in their attempt to reach the United States. Some estimates put the number at more than 7,000. The caravan started in Honduras and has made its way to southern Mexico.

There is still a long way before it reaches the US border. Many claim to have fled gang-violence. They say authorities back home are incapable of providing them with security. The region has one of the highest murder rates in the world. Some analysts say the US is not dealing with its neighbors very well which is leading to problems spilling over the border.

Many are accusing the US President and his republican colleagues of using the Migrant Caravan to drum up support ahead of the mid-term elections.
