Thierry Henry has been named the new coach of Monaco until June 2021, replacing Leonardo Jardim, who was sacked for poor results.

Jardim led Monaco to the French title in 2017. But things weren't going well this season, as they won only one of the 1st-nine Ligue One games.

Henry has no experience as a manager but had been working as an assistant to Belgium coach Roberto Martinez since 2016.

He was part of the staff that led the team to 3rd place at the World Cup in Russia. Henry has signed a deal until June 2021.
