2018 Asian Games: Iran defeats South Korea to reach basketball final
In the 2018 Asian Games, Iran’s basketball team have avenged their 2014 defeat to South Korea, with a glorious semi-final victory, to reach the finals of the tournament.
To erase their memory of the defeat in the finals of the 2014 Incheon games, Iran started this game more fiercely, and won the first-half 40-28.
In the 2nd half, the South Korea coach, attempted to change the course of the game, with several timeouts, but the Iranians maintained their composure, and managed to finish the game 80 to 68. Iran will now have to face China in the final, for their first ever Asian Games gold.
